No Weapon Needed Mission Statement

There's always an opportunity to make a difference in the world.

No Weapon Needed is dedicated to building safer communities free from any threat of gun, gang and weapons violence.

The No Weapon Needed concept began in 1981 after Kenneth Richardson's brother was murdered due to gun and gang violence. Soon after Ken dedicated his life to creating a program that utilizes martial arts and street awareness skills to help inner city youth protect themselves from the dangers of the streets and also enhancing their lives.

By working with local clubs and youth centers No Weapon Needed is able to create an environment that becomes so much more then just another gym or after school activity. We utilize our skills as martial artists, boxers, instructors but most important mentors to teach inner city youth about morals, respect, honor, kindness, and discipline. We also strive to keep our young adults on the right path and off the streets by offering them an alternative place to go with a very positive atmosphere. This program helps to improve all aspects of their lives both physically and mentally.

Over the last 30 years we have been fortunate to have helped hundreds of youth, but we can't do it without your support. Please help us continue to make a difference in the lives of our children and our fight to combat the epidemic of youth gun and gang violence throughout Massachusetts and the rest of the country.

Thank you in advance for your help and support of the No Weapon Needed mission. We are and always will be devoted to changing young lives.
